Weee Collections

Weee Collections can be made from anywhere with the UK mainland, but our main working areas are Kent, Sussex and Surrey. Depending on what is needed to be collected and from where, depends on weather a charge would be applied or not.

If there are more than 10 units of the following list of items, the collection would be free. If there are less than 10, a small collection charge would be applied.

  • Computers
  • Servers
  • Laptops
  • Printers
  • Plotters
  • Network switches, hubs and equipment
  • RAID Arrays
  • Telephone Equipment (Landline and VOIP)
  • Mobile and Smart phones and Tablets

The following can also be collected, however a small charge is sometimes made per unit collected.

  • CRT Monitors
  • TFT Monitors
  • Scanners
  • Photo Copiers
  • Server Cabinets
  • UPS Systems
  • A charge is also made if onsite data destruction is required.

Also collected at the same time:

  • Mice, keyboards and other peripherals
  • Cases, boxes and protection for weee equipment
  • Manuals, instructions and guides

The above items can be boxed up, and when booking a collection can be listed as ‘1 box of peripherals’ or similar. Document achieve boxes are great for storing these items.

Weee Collection Time

Collections are normally made with in 72 hours of contact being made. At times, collection can be made within 24 hours. Our staff are uniformed, and carry ID cards, so you know you are dealing with us.

Should onsite data destruction be needed, a greater lead time may be required, to ensure that the staff and equipment are available.

To book a collection, please contact us either by phone or email. The details we need to know initially are:

  • Contact person and company name.
  • Registered address and phone number of company
  • Collection address and available times to collect.
  • What is being collected, and quantities

Upon receipt of these details, the collection can be booked, and you will be informed if a charge needs to be made (ie for CRT Monitors).

At the time of collection, if onsite data destruction isn’t needed, all items are logged, as they are loaded. This is the start of our audit trail. You will be issued with a waste transfer note at this point. The items are then transported back to our processing plant, where the data is destroyed and items are split between reuse and recycling. You will be issued with a data destruction certificate, normally within 7 days.

If on site data destruction is required, access to power points would be required. This is to power equipment and systems that we use in data destruction. We can then issue the data destruction and waste transfer notes on the day.
